Fr. Deacon Stephen Edwards, BA Hons, MTh, MPhil, FRGS
Fr. Deacon Stephen Edwards is a native of Carmarthen, Wales. When he was three years old, his family moved to sub tropical Queensland. He returned to the UK in 1997: He is married to a consultant psychiatrist, Deborah. They have two adult sons.
An Oxford night class sparked a passion for theology and, following this up, Stephen Edwards read Theology at the University of Wales, Lampeter, gaining First Class Honours, followed by a MTh in Systematic and Philosophical theology with distinction.
Stephen served in rural Ceredigion as an Anglican minister for nearly 10 years, completing an MPhil on Dionysius the Areopagite.
He was received into the Holy Orthodox Church on the Feast of the Nativity of the Theotokos 2020, and was made Deacon by His Grace Bishop Maximos of Melitene on the Akathist of the Most Holy Theotokos 2024.
Fr Dc Stephen serves with Fr. Timothy in the Church of the Three Hierarchs in Lampeter.
