SUMMER SCHOOL FOR CHANTERS, READERS & LAITY: AUGUST 28th.- 31s.t
Across Britain, Orthodox parishes are growing, missions are appearing, and clergy often travel long distances. Often the congregation does not have trained chanters, readers and few members of the community could step in a guide the service through its various parts. Under the guidance of clergy and chanters, participants will learn the structure of the services, work closely with liturgical books, prepare services together in small groups, and present them in the various Orthodox churches around Walsingham, and and prepare services together. Good liturgical formation gives us confidence, and enriches our understanding of the services, whether singing, reading, participating in prayer or explaining the services to catechumens and visitors.
