Year II: From the Canons of Trullo to Visual Hesychasm.
Each Section comprises 6 lectures a year and 6 Student Presentations, conducted over Zoom. No artistic knowledge is necessary: this is designed to help Church members navigate the icons in Church, their content and positioning, and to help those responsible for positioning and commissioning icons for Church to design the iconographic interior according to the needs of the congregation. It is also of great use to those teaching in catechesis, youth groups or schools.
For those who wish to learn the Icon, there are also optional Icon Tuition Workshops accompanying each year, every second month. These are:
Course A: Year I: Design of icons, spiritual flow and preparing of pattern drawings: pencil and brush.
Course A: Year II: Building tone and Colour.
Summer School: Preparing the icon board.
Year B: Painting Icons in egg tempera: learning the techniques.
Summer School: Gilding
Year C: Graduation Icon/s.
